The agreement between you and ATLAS for using the app — plain-language where possible, precise where it has to be.
By downloading, installing, or using ATLAS, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, don't use the app. These terms apply alongside the Privacy Policy, which explains what data ATLAS collects and why.
ATLAS is a strength training app: workout logging, recovery tracking, progress analytics, and optional AI-assisted workout planning, coaching, and plan import. Core logging works fully offline and stays free forever; some features (listed in-app under Premium) require a paid subscription or one-time purchase.
You don't need an account to use ATLAS's core features. Creating one adds cloud backup and social features, and requires a valid email address (or Sign in with Apple). You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for anything that happens under your account.

Strength training carries an inherent risk of injury. Weight, rep, and progression suggestions — including anything from the AI Planner or AI Coach — are general guidance, not a personalized medical or clinical recommendation. You're responsible for using proper form, working within your own limits, and stopping if something hurts. Use of the app and any exercise you perform is at your own risk.
The AI Planner, AI Coach, and Import Workouts use an AI model to generate plans, answers, and parsed workouts from what you provide. When you use them you are interacting with an AI system, not a human coach, doctor, or physiotherapist. These outputs can be wrong, generic, or not suited to your situation — review any suggested change before applying it (the app always shows you the proposed change before it takes effect). AI outputs are not professional fitness or medical advice, and, to the extent the law allows, we're not liable for a decision you make based on them.
You own the training data, custom exercises, and anything else you create in ATLAS. By submitting a photo or text to Import Workouts, or a message to AI Coach, you grant us a license to process that specific content solely to generate the response you requested — we don't use it to train AI models or for any other purpose, and it isn't shared beyond what Section 4 of the Privacy Policy describes.
Don't use ATLAS to:
ATLAS's design, code, exercise library, and branding belong to us. These terms don't transfer any of that to you — you're licensed to use the app, not to copy or redistribute it.
You can stop using ATLAS and delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy for how). We can suspend or terminate access for a violation of Section 8, though we'll always try to tell you why first unless that would be unsafe or pointless.
ATLAS is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that AI-generated content will be accurate.
To the maximum extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of ATLAS, including any injury sustained while exercising. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited, including — for consumers in the EU/UK — your statutory consumer rights, which these terms don't override.
If you downloaded ATLAS from the Apple App Store, this section applies in addition to the rest of these terms:
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you're a consumer in the EU or UK, this doesn't take away the mandatory protections your own country's consumer law gives you.
We may update these terms as the app changes. For anything material — pricing, what's included in Premium, your rights — we'll update the date above and flag it inside the app.
